Upland rice growth on giving of biochar and organic fertilizer

Abstract Upland rice is a food crop commodity that can be cultivated on dry land. Increasing soil fertility land through the addition of organic materials in form biochar and fertilizers. The aim this research was to examine growth upland application several types conducted Sukosari Jumantono Village, Karanganyar March-June 2022. used completely randomized block design. first factor type (without biochar, coconut shell husk strobilanthes biochar) second fertilizer fertilizer, chicken manure, goat cow manure) with three replications. Data analysis using Analysis Variance Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. results showed fertilizers not able increase plant height, fresh weight biomass, biomass leaf area rice. leaves number tiller at 4-6 weeks after planting (WAP). Coconut produced highest tillers numbers than biochar.
